A walk-through aquarium at the entrance to Puerto Marina, arranged as a journey through themed zones from the Mediterranean to a tropical lagoon. An underwater tunnel brings sharks and rays overhead, while interactive rock pools and otter and seahorse habitats hold younger visitors. Compact, engaging and easy to pair with the port.

A hundred-hectare wildlife park in the Estepona hills, home to more than two thousand animals from five continents across open, naturalistic enclosures. The visit unfolds on foot and aboard four-wheel-drive trucks past lions, rhinos, giraffes and one of Europe's largest aviaries. Zip lines, hanging bridges and camel rides add to the day.

A compact marine park in the hills above Benalmádena, home to Andalusia's largest dolphinarium and a cooled ice island colony of penguins. A reptile park devoted to crocodiles, with more than three hundred animals including Gran Paco, among the largest in Europe at five metres. Feeding talks and a chance to hold a baby crocodile make the visit hands-on, alongside turtles, chameleons and a small children's zoo. Short, memorable and well suited to a half-day.

The largest water park on the Costa del Sol, with around thirty attractions spread across slides, a wave pool and gentler lagoons. Thrill-seekers take on the Kamikaze and Boomerang, while themed children's pools and water playgrounds keep younger families close to the shallows. A reliable full-day escape through the summer season.
